The previous L-Systems could only model a single path which makes the ability to model branching structures extremely limited. To gt around this brackets are added to the symbol list. These are correspond to entering and exiting scopes and allow for nesting of sub-objects with the state then returning on scope exit.
Sample 2D Trees
This allows for the modelling of some (over regular) structures which none the less bare more than a passing resemblance to real botanical structures.
3D Tree Attempt
The 3D extension quickly starts to show the limitations of the ray tracer on scenes with many thousands of elements. I will need to look at speeding it up soon!
