Moving to Warwick
Moving to Warwick
Been a bit of a stressful time but I have completed my move to Warwick town in mid-May. I have moved from the surburbs of the large city of Coventry to the centre of the smaller town of Warwick. I am in a Mews building just of the main street. I am very excited for the future.
While Coventry is nice (and my flat was lovely) there was little for me to do in my local area without a car. What was keeping me there after uni was a combination of inertia and having friends nearby. A number of my friends have left / moved future away within Coventry and the pandemic has given me the shake-up needed to do something about this.
I have always loved Warwick as a child – when my grandparents looked after us over the summers they would often take us to St Nicholas park. As an adult I am hoping that having more going on nearby (museums, history, shops, food) encourages me to not fall into my default state of staying in the house and gets me out a bit more and engadging with people.
The house is lovely you can just see the castle and we are close enough that peacocks from the castle regularly make an appearance. Hopefully this is the start of a new chapter.
